Software Development Manager

• Lead and manage a team of developers, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
  
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute to design, implementation, and code reviews.
  
• Take ownership of team deliverables, ensuring high-quality, robust and scalable products.
  
• Lead the software development team by removing roadblocks, coaching and mentoring, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders, and helping the team succeed.
  
• Manage team performance, including setting goals, coaching, measuring progress through ongoing feedback.
  
• Recognize and reward exceptional performance and contributions.
  
• Address performance issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
  
• Identify and address bottlenecks and insufficiencies in the development process.
  
• Develop technical strategies, processes, and best practices in an Agile environment, and facilitate Agile meetings.
  
• Ensure high quality product by enforcing unit test development and methodical QA processes and protocol.
  
• Contribute to the product roadmap in collaboration with the Product Management Team.
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in leading and managing software development teams and Agile projects.
  
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  
• Experience with Windows environment and .NET Framework.
  
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, Heroku, AWS.
  
• Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL.
  
• Experience with unit testing and test automation.
  
• Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps.
  
• Knowledge of AI platforms (Tensorflow, Pytorch, Microsoft ML) and Python is a plus.
  
• Understanding of software security and secure software development.
