D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Software Development Team Lead. The right candidate will be responsible for creation of web base applications using one or more of the following technologies\: MVC, Microsoft technologies (C#, Entity Framework), React, JavaScript/CSS, WebAPI, SQL Databases and other web development technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead development of a software project with one or more developers assigned
  • Develop applications that streamline internal business processes
  • Work with existing legacy applications to convert (if necessary), extend and enhance functionality, as well as developing new applications
  • Perform unit testing after completion of the development tasks, initiate end to end testing and validation in a development environment
  • Follow the pre-defined development standards for naming conventions, user interface, etc.
  • Work on assigned tasks to completion, correctly and in assigned time
  • Perform problem determination for correcting defects
  • Assist Software Development Manager in designing solutions for enhancements or during problem resolution
  • Complete estimates as to how much work is involved for all project tasks, and perform analysis to determine how the solution can be achieved with the best design solution
  • Oversee code development of team for correctness and quality
  • Determine estimates and assign tasks to development team members
  • Track and report status of development effort for all team members
  • Follow the correct process for getting a new project or problem correction promoted from the development environment to the production environment
  • Transfer knowledge and the design documents to the Documentation/Training team, in order to get the user documentation properly updated and/or training preparations and materials completed
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • May work with users or Business Analysts to determine requirements and design for systems
