Software Development Test Engineer (SDET)
NOTE: This is a full-time employment opportunity (open to W2, 1099 or C2C, no third parties, please). The candidate MUST be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (a sponsored visa is acceptable). This is a remote opportunity; candidate must be based in the United States; have resided in the US for the last 3 years of the past 5 years; ET time zone work schedule.
Daily Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans, test data, test cases to ensure quality for web applications, APIs, and scheduled tasks in adherence to organization’s testing methodology and processes.
- Utilize test tool automation to streamline testing activities on various projects during different test phases.
- Prepare testing artifacts as required (e.g. test plan, test strategy, RTM’s, test reports, etc.)
- Contribute to enhancing the existing framework to improve the test automation reusability and maintainability.
- Perform web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, black box, load/performance, security, and end-to-end testing.
- Leverage SCRUM techniques to deliver high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with product development, product management and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
- Work with development teams in reducing error rates and perform root cause analysis of errors/trends.
- Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational and performance requirements of overall system.
- Contribute to the design and development of scalable, reliable, and fast automated test frameworks to expedite testing.
- Design custom automation framework to suit the application under test.
- Maintain the test automation repository as part of the configuration management system.
- Train SDET Engineers on the custom framework and integration components.
- Utilize CI/CD tools for building, testing and deploying applications on the required infrastructure/server (e.g. Jenkins).
