Software Engineer – Co-Development Business Unit

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team to solve business problems and transform architectural concepts into production systems across our full technology stack. You'll build and maintain in‑house platforms, infrastructure, integrations, APIs, Lambda functions, and both backend and frontend applications while ensuring governance and compliance standards. You'll also play an active role in raising the bar on engineering practices across the team.

• Architecture & Compliance
  • Proven ability to translate high‑level concepts into scalable technical implementations
  • Experience implementing security controls and compliance requirements in production
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with system integration and event‑driven architectures
• 5+ years full‑stack software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies (C#, Java, Node.js or similar)
• Strong proficiency in frontend frameworks and libraries (React, Vue, jQuery, CSS or similar)
• Strong proficiency in IaC (Terraform, etc.) on AWS
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
• Hands‑on experience in AWS with experience in EC2/RDS and other serverless workloads.
• Experience with IIS, Apache Server or similar web server technologies
• Experience with SQL databases
• Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Self‑directed, pragmatic problem solver who balances technical excellence with business needs, communicates effectively across teams, writes maintainable code, and stays current with technology trends

• Multiple ongoing business policy initiatives and modernization initiatives alongside legacy system maintenance
• Diverse technology stack including OutSystems, C#, Java, Node.js and cloud infrastructure (GCC/AWS)
• Government security and compliance requirements that shape technical decisions
• Resource constraints requiring pragmatic approaches that balance immediate needs with long‑term sustainability
