Software Engineer (AI-driven development)

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who wants to contribute to our mission by building robust, scalable solutions, and by using AI as a natural part of software development.
About the role
As a Software Engineer at Kiona, you work hands‑on with backend development while contributing to modern, AI‑augmented ways of working across the team.
You will build and improve backend services and apply AI throughout the development process – from implementation and debugging to testing, documentation and solution design. You will also contribute to improving how the team works with AI in practice.
We believe the role of a developer is evolving from writing code to understanding problems, providing context and delivering high‑quality product outcomes. In this role, you contribute to that shift as part of the team.
You’ll be part of a distributed development team in an international environment where English is the primary working language.
You are
- Has solid backend development experience, preferably with .NET / C#
- Uses AI as a natural part of software development
- Is curious and motivated to explore how AI can improve the way we build software
- Communicates well across technical and non‑technical roles
- Is pragmatic, solution‑oriented and able to translate business needs into sound technical solutions
Experience with legacy systems is useful, but curiosity and willingness to improve ways of working are more important.
