Software Engineer

Akaion, Milano-based, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to design, development, and scaling of modern web applications. You will work across backend and frontend, shaping architecture and delivering reliable features.

The role requires strong Python, React with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and GCP experience; you will collaborate with product and design teams, uphold code quality, and help deploy scalable systems.

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python. Build responsive frontend applications using React with TypeScript. Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and data models. Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases (schema design, queries, performance). Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features. Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices. Contribute to architectural decisions and system scalability. Strong experience with Python for backend development. Solid knowledge of React and TypeScript. Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Hands-on experience with GCP (e.g. Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, or similar) Good understanding of REST APIs and modern web architectures. Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
