Software Engineer

Alpine Software in Ortisei is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services as part of the full SDLC.

Design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and applications. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment. Implement new features and optimize existing code. Review peer code to ensure quality and security. Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to refine technical specifications. Troubleshoot production issues and improve development tools, workflows, and documentation. Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Proficiency in Software Development and Programming with experience in modern languages and frameworks. Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, building APIs, and working with databases. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in production code. Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices. Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and to perform effective code reviews. Comfort working on-site in a collaborative team environment and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
