Full-stack engineer on SEON's AML team building TypeScript features for AML services and the customer-facing admin panel — React/NestJS development, testing, code review, CI/CD improvements, and mentoring junior teammates. Needs 3+ years with JavaScript/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and ideally AWS/Terraform.
- Implementation of TypeScript features for AML services and customer facing Admin Panel
- Contribution to design discussions with informed questions and explanation of design decisions
- Independent scoping of work and early issue raising with requirements
- Consistent delivery of high-quality code focusing on simplicity, security, testability, performance, and scalability
- Maintenance and development of client-side JavaScript libraries and backend services
- Independent debugging of moderately complex issues using observability tools
- Writing tests for features and designing testing approaches for complex features
- Fixing issues reported by QA and customers based on priorities
- Tracking implementation progress using company processes and software
- Reviewing code with focus on security, performance and quality and providing constructive feedback
- Cooperation with PM, QA, Architects and Devops teams continuously
- Contribution to planning and estimation
- Improvement of CI/CD pipelines and development tooling by removing bottlenecks
- Mentoring junior teammates with structured intent
- Working with large datasets keeping them performant, accurate and auditable
- Using AI-assisted development tools and helping find AI improvements
- Helping teammates adopt AI practices and knowing when AI output needs heavy human review
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- At least 3 years of experience in software development
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript and stable knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and RESTful API development
- Ability to cooperate with team members in an Agile development environment
- Experience scoping and delivering features independently from ambiguous requirements to validated work
- Experience debugging issues across services using observability tools
- Out-of-the-box thinking combined with ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English
- Technical knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, React, Node and NestJS
- Technical knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (Sass)
- Technical knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Experience with data heavy applications
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as AML, KYC or financial services
