Software Engineer - App Security & SRE (Perm/ Contract)
Summary
SRE/application-support engineer on MAS's Central Banking & Devt Platforms payment team, keeping the MEPS+ interbank payment system and government securities systems healthy through production monitoring (Grafana, ELK), patching and compliance, incident response, and disaster-recovery validation. Requires 5+ years in app support or SRE, ideally in payments or financial infrastructure.
What the role is
You will be part of the Central Banking & Devt Platforms (CBD) payment team responsible for managing the systems supporting the MAS Electronic Payment System (MEPS+) and domestic securities management systems in MAS, and the Special Singapore Government Securities system.
These responsibilities involve supporting interbank payments in MEPS+ as well as MAS and government securities and trade settlements. You are expected to understand and support the linkages between these systems and other market infrastructures such as the Automated Clearing House (ACH).
What you will be working on
maintain production application health, investigating errors, exceptions, and system alerts to ensure service availability maintain system observability using monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, ELK stack)

accurate and timely technical evidence
Incident & continuity management
validate disaster recovery procedures timely incident response and resolution CyberEx exercises and implement recommended security measures
What we are looking for
At least 5 years’ experience in application support, operations, or site reliability engineering — preferably in payments, securities settlement, or financial infrastructure
in SQL for database queries and production analysis
