Software Engineer Apprentice

As an Apprentice Python QA, you will gain hands-on experience in software development, testing, and networking fundamentals. This role is designed for early-career professionals or fresh graduates who are eager to learn and contribute to real-world projects under mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain code in Python for assigned modules.
  • Perform basic Python testing (unit and integration) to ensure code quality.
  • Assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature implementation and defect resolution.
  • Document code, test cases, and processes clearly.
  • Learn and apply networking concepts in practical scenarios.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of Python programming and object-oriented concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of software testing techniques (unit testing, test case writing).
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
  • Understanding of Layer 7 protocols and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) and data formats (XML, JSON, YAML).
  • Interest in cloud platforms and virtual environments.
