Backend Engineer
Location: Singapore
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services for games and online services.
Improve system performance, reliability and availability.
Work with product and engineering teams to deliver features and troubleshoot production issues.
Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews and technical documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
5–10 years of relevant backend development experience.
Prior experience working in an internet company is required. Gaming industry experience is not required.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, databases, caching and API design.
Hands-on experience building and supporting high-concurrency production services.
Proficiency in English for technical documentation and cross-team communication. Spoken Mandarin is required for technical discussions and production troubleshooting with Mandarin-speaking engineers who are not proficient in English.
