Software Engineer (Backend)

Job Summary

Develop and maintain backend applications on AWS, collaborating with teams to deliver high-performance, scalable software solutions while ensuring code quality and adopting new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend applications in the AWS cloud to ensure robust and scalable services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new backend features that meet business requirements
• Monitor and optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness to enhance user experience
• Identify bottlenecks and debug software issues to maintain system stability and reliability
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation to support efficient development and deployment processes
• Research, evaluate, and implement new backend technologies to improve development efficiency and product innovation
• Stay informed on the latest backend development trends and best practices to continuously enhance technical skills
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to ensure ongoing functionality and security
• Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation for development reference and reporting
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally to facilitate team collaboration and stakeholder engagement

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Software Developer with backend development expertise
• Strong proficiency in Python and C# programming languages
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, and RDS
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and RESTful API design
• Ability to write and execute SQL and MongoDB queries for data validation
• Knowledge of Unit Testing and User-Driven Development practices
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies independently
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Resourcefulness in overcoming technical challenges efficiently
