Software Engineer
Build the Future of Fair Music with Us
At Sentric, we're on a mission to give artists the fairest deal in the music industry. We're looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our product engineering team, working out of our head office in the centre of Liverpool.
We wholeheartedly embrace our core values of Honesty, Originality, Progression, and Kindness as guiding principles in our professional journey, and we're seeking people who share them.
About the Role
You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying solutions that directly and positively impact artists and the music industry. You'll work across a modern stack including C#, TypeScript, ReactJS, RDBMS (MySQL), and AWS.
This role also sits within a team that's actively shaping how we build software with AI. We've adopted a structured approach to AI-augmented development, including agentic coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, and we're looking for someone curious and thoughtful about how these tools change (and don't change) good, ethical engineering practice.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant user-facing and/or back-end systems
Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions, always with a focus on tangible business outcomes
Build secure APIs and integrate with third-party services and platforms
Work within our approved AI tooling and practices, including agentic workflows (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), applying good judgement on where AI assistance speeds up delivery and where it doesn't
Maintain clear ownership and accountability over AI-assisted contributions, including attribution and review practices for agent-generated code
Champion quality, observability, and resilience across everything you ship
Collaborate closely with your squad and wider stakeholders, taking full ownership of your deliverables
Share your knowledge, mentoring colleagues and helping shape our evolving engineering practices, including how we use AI responsibly
Join us in shaping the future of fair music. Apply now!
RECRUITERS: we have nothing but respect for your role in the industry, but we're unable to engage your services at this time.
