Software Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with strong proficiency in Golang to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and scaling our core logistics platforms and data ecosystem.
You will work closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, maintainable services across a multi-cloud environment. If you thrive on solving complex distributed systems problems, building high-throughput services, and maintaining engineering rigor, this is the role for you.
Key responsibilities
Core Development: Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and RESTful/ gRPC APIs primarily using Go.
System Design & Scalability: Design robust, decoupled architectures (event-driven, layered, or microservices) that process critical business operations reliably at scale.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers and operational stakeholders to translate complex business workflows into scalable technical solutions.
Code Quality & Mentorship: Champion engineering best practices by conducting rigorous code reviews, writing comprehensive tests, and mentoring junior engineers.
DevOps & Automation: Collaborate on streamlining CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and maintaining high system availability across cloud environments.
Requirements (Must Have)
Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English / Chinese.
Experience: 3–5 years of professional backend software development experience, with a solid track record in production Golang.
Go Internals & Concurrency: Deep understanding of Go runtime internals, concurrency primitives (goroutines, channels, sync), and modern Go frameworks/ORMs (e.g., Gin, Fiber, Ent).
Computer Science Fundamentals: Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and object-oriented / functional design principles.
Database & Optimization: Solid proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), including schema design, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Cloud & DevOps Literacy: Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Alibaba Cloud), containerization (Docker), and core networking/observability concepts.
Requirements (Nice to Have)
Language Proficiency: Conversational Korean (ability to coordinate and communicate with regional partners/teams).
Logistics & Supply Chain Context: Prior experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or cross-border e-commerce pipelines.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform and building automated CI/CD workflows in GitLab CI.
Distributed Systems: Experience with asynchronous task queues (e.g., Asynq, Celery), message brokers (Redis Streams, Kafka, RabbitMQ), and distributed state management.
Observability: Familiarity with the Grafana stack (Loki, Tempo, Grafana), Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and performance metrics.
