\n Senior Backend Software Engineer\n
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and build scalable cloud-native applications and services.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Develop core business logic and backend services, leveraging Python to build highly available, scalable APIs and microservices. \n
- Apply Cisco Design Thinking Principles, focusing on simplification, secure coding, and exceptional user experience. \n
- Collaborate with Large Model Development Engineers and Machine Learning Algorithm Engineers to integrate AI-driven inference services, data pipelines, and agent interfaces. \n
- Lead and contribute to technical design, architecture, and system optimization for high performance, stability, and security. \n
- Integrate external IT monitoring, alerting, and configuration systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CMDB) into the platform. \n
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and conduct thorough unit and integration testing. \n
- Debug and resolve complex issues during both development and production, supporting robust and reliable customer experiences. \n
- Mentor colleagues, contribute to documentation, and share knowledge across teams through presentations, blogs, and code reviews. \n
- Proactively identify and address opportunities for product innovation and process improvement, influencing the broader engineering roadmap. \n

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of related experience, OR \n
- Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience, OR \n
- PhD in a relevant field. \n
- Proficiency in Python programming with experience in backend development. \n
- Working knowledge of at least one Python web framework (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI). \n
- Experience with RESTful API design and development. \n
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, asynchronous programming, and secure coding practices. \n
- Proficient with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases. \n
- Experience with Git for version control. \n
- Strong foundation in software engineering, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. \n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills. \n
- Demonstrated ability to mentor or coach less-experienced engineers. \n
- \n
- 5+ years of Python backend development, with experience building large-scale systems or platforms. \n
- Experience with IT operations (AIOps), monitoring systems, or big data processing. \n
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). \n
- Experience deploying and managing solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). \n
- Proficient with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching technologies. \n
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging systems (Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana). \n
- Understanding of MCD/MCP protocols or Agentic AI framework technologies. \n
- Exposure to frontend development (e.g., React, Vue.js). \n
- Strong system design, problem analysis, and troubleshooting skills. \n
- Experience leading small-to-medium technical projects or features from design through delivery. \n
