Software Engineer - Conversational AI

What You’ll Do:
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and ownership over assigned product features.
End-to-End Delivery: Manage project requirements identification, analysis, design, and documentation.
Cutting-Edge Integration: Work on AI Prompt Engineering and integrate with LLMs using Model-as-a-Service APIs.
Software Implementation: Handle the full lifecycle including build, test, integration, deployment, and performance analysis.
Navigate Architecture: Come to grips with our existing codebase and help us modernize and productionise features in a fast-paced environment.
What You Bring:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a similar discipline.
5+ years of experience working in a disciplined software development/engineering environment.
Deep mental acuity and lateral thinking—the ability to think outside the box when faced with a "fish out of water" technical problem.
In-depth knowledge of the Application lifecycle and a pragmatic mindset that isn't afraid to reach out to the team and ask good questions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical complexities to both internal teams and external customers.

Location:
This role is remote-first and home-based. You will be required to come into the office for team meeting days, so being based in or around Auckland is highly preferred.
