Software Engineer
About the role
Culper Technology is seeking skilled Software Engineers at multiple levels of experience to join our growing team and contribute to the development, maintenance and enhancement of complex and diverse software systems. Ideal candidates should have experience working with cross-functional teams and possess strong communication skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do
- Proficiency in modern programming languages including Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, SQL, and C++.
- Experience developing web applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including React and related build tools such as Node.js, npm, and Gulp.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs and working with existing tools, services, and application interfaces.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, software design principles, and enterprise application development.
- Experience with Java frameworks and technologies, including Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, and Maven for application development and build automation.
- Familiarity with cloud development and infrastructure management, particularly within AWS environments and services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software deployment processes.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with databases and data platforms such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and SQL-based databases.
- Proficiency with Git and GitLab for source control and collaborative software development.
- Experience developing Section 508-compliant applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while supporting mission-focused software development efforts.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in computer science principles, software development, algorithms, data structures, and modern computing concepts.
- Ability to apply technical expertise to support mission-critical systems and solve complex engineering challenges.
