What you'll do
  • Design, develop, and implement robust software applications that support Dailypay's mission to provide financial flexibility to employees.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and functional software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable and maintainable systems that can handle increasing user demand.
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and facilitate continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our software development practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical challenges and career development.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
  • Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
  • Engage in agile development practices, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on software features, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on web applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a solid understanding of frameworks like Spring, Django, or Node.js.
  • Experience with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Familiarity with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and improve your skills.
Nice to have
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
