Seoulstart is hiring a Software Engineer (Data Layer) in Singapore to own backend projects end to end: designing low-latency systems, building API frameworks and tooling for internal engineers, and driving reliability through SLOs, observability, and incident response. Core stack is Go or Java microservices, with responsible use of generative AI.
What you'd do:
- Own projects end to end from scoping through production validation
- Design low-latency systems serving millions with caching and optimization
- Build API framework and tooling for hundreds of internal engineers
- Drive T0 operational excellence through SLOs, observability, and incident response
- Partner with product teams on API schemas and service launches
- Mentor engineers and set technical bar through reviews and architecture
