Are you a Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and building scalable enterprise solutions?
We re working with a major financial services organisation seeking an experienced engineer to help deliver a strategic data archiving, search, and analytics platform. This is a highly visible programme with significant investment, offering the opportunity to work across software engineering, data engineering, automation, and infrastructure.
The Opportunity
you'll play a key role in designing and developing solutions that ingest, transform, archive, search, and analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you'll help build scalable, automated platforms that support critical business and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable ETL and data ingestion pipelines
- Build APIs and search interfaces for enterprise data platforms
- Develop automation and self-service capabilities to streamline onboarding processes
- Create analytics and reporting solutions that provide meaningful business insights
- Contribute to the design and optimisation of underlying platform infrastructure
- Work closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders
- Produce high-quality, well-tested, and well-documented code
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the platform
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience with Python and/or PowerShell
- Commercial experience with C#, JavaScript, or .NET
- Front End development experience, ideally using React
- Strong background building ETL processes and data pipelines
- Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working across multiple technologies and disciplines
Desirable Experience:
- Ansible or infrastructure automation tools
- MSSQL, Oracle, or similar database technologies
- Search and indexing platforms
- Object storage or enterprise data archiving solutions
- Power BI or data visualisation tools
