Responsibilities
- Partner with government stakeholders and engineering, design, and product teams to modernize data architectures and pipelines
- Design and implement scalable data models and databases
- Improve pipeline performance and security
- Build systems that support the storage, processing, and analysis of large-scale data
- Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Develop data engineering applications for advanced analytics, AI/ML, and experimentation
- Design, develop, test, automate, and deploy solutions on cloud platforms like AWS
- Participate in software design and code reviews
- Develop automated testing, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD for production systems
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with Agile, TDD, CI/CD, and Source Code Management
- Experience building ETL pipelines to ingest, process, and store data
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and server-side use cases
- Experience with data cleaning, modeling, and schema design
- Proficiency with relational databases and advanced SQL (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with data observability tools
- Ability to work with API and file-based data integrations
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
