Software Engineer
Summary
Consultant software engineer (frontend) at Swedish IT consulting firm Deploja, employed by the firm and assigned to client or internal projects. The focus is building and maintaining enterprise-grade design systems and shared component libraries with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Vue 3, Web Components, plus strong accessibility (WCAG) and testing/CI practices.
We now have a new requirement and are looking for a consultant colleague with the qualifications listed below. The position is part of our consulting business, which means you will be employed by us and work either with clients or on internal projects and assignments.

Your Profile (Must-have requirements)
- 7 years of software development experience with deep expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated hands‑on track record of building, maintaining, and evolving enterprise‑grade design systems or shared component libraries.
- Strong production experience with modern frontend frameworks, specifically React, Vue 3, and Web Components / Custom Elements.
- In‑depth knowledge of web accessibility (a11y) and practical implementation of WCAG standards at the component level.
- High software engineering standards: component API design, automated testing (Jest, Vitest, Testing Library), continuous integration (CI/CD), and semantic versioning.
- Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset and fluent English communication.
Meritorious
- Experience with design token architectures (e.g., Style Dictionary, W3C Design Tokens format) and design‑to‑code workflows (Figma).
- Hands‑on experience with modern monorepo and build tooling (Turborepo, Nx, Vite, Rollup, Storybook).
- Experience optimizing bundle sizes, runtime performance, and tree‑shaking for npm packages.
