Software Engineer – Desktop Application & Instrument Integration / 軟體工程師

Job Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of desktop applications for microbioreactor systems and experimental data analysis.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new product features, improve software usability and reliability, and investigate issues reported from laboratory, production, and field environments. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement clarification and technical evaluation to implementation, verification, and release support.

Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications for microbioreactor instruments and their associated experimental data analysis tools.
2. Collaborate with R&D, product, application, QA, and production teams to turn product requirements and prototypes into reliable software features.
3. Clarify requirements for product roadmap items, evaluate technical feasibility, and propose implementation approaches or prototypes. Communicate technical options and trade-offs with cross-functional stakeholders.
4. Perform developer-level software verification, including functional testing and basic regression testing, before handing software builds over to the QA team for integration and system testing.
5. Support field application, QA, and production teams in investigating reported issues. Analyze application logs, reproduce problems, identify root causes, implement software fixes, and propose design or UI/UX improvements when appropriate.
6. Create and maintain essential technical documentation, including software release notes, feature workflows, technical explanations, and proposals for new functions.
7. Manage assigned priorities and workload to meet project timelines and contribute to company and R&D objectives. Proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers, and propose practical solutions or workarounds when necessary.

工作內容
1. 設計、開發及維護微型生物反應器儀器的桌面應用程式，以及相關的實驗資料分析工具。
2. 與研發、產品、應用、QA 及生產團隊合作，將產品需求與原型轉化為可靠且可實際使用的軟體功能。
3. 釐清產品開發項目的需求、評估技術可行性，並提出實作方式或功能原型，向相關團隊說明不同技術方案的優缺點與取捨。
4. 執行開發階段的軟體驗證，包括功能測試與基本回歸測試，確認軟體符合需求並具備足夠穩定性後，交由 QA 團隊進行整合及系統測試。
5. 協助應用、現場技術支援、QA 及生產團隊調查問題。工作內容包括分析軟體執行紀錄（log）、重現問題、判斷根本原因、修正軟體缺陷，並視需要提出系統設計或 UI/UX 改善方案。
6. 建立及維護必要的技術文件，包括軟體版本說明、功能操作流程、技術原理說明及新功能提案。
7. 妥善安排工作項目與優先順序，以符合專案時程並協助達成公司及研發團隊目標。遇到風險、相依項目或執行障礙時，應主動溝通並提出可行的解決方案或替代作法。
