Software Engineer | Early Careers, 2027 Start
NewBe an early applicantOur Company
Arch is a Series B financial technology company that automates the management of private investments, improving access, understanding, and the human experience of investing across asset classes.
Private investments such as venture capital, hedge funds, and private equity, make up roughly 25% of the investment universe. Traditionally, investors, advisors, banks, families, and managers track hundreds of investments in complicated spreadsheets, file folders, and busy inboxes. Not only is this tedious and time-consuming, but it is rife with opportunity for manual data entry errors, inconsistent reporting, and lost information. Enter, Arch.
Arch delivers standardized data, documents, and insights in a single platform, avoiding the need to chase information across dozens or hundreds of ‘portals’. Our purpose is to save investors’ time while empowering them to make more informed investment decisions, leading to better financial outcomes.
We are a fast-growing, dynamic team of 200+, serving over 400 clients, including several of America’s largest banks, families, and financial institutions. We’ve over doubled the size of the company every year since inception and we are looking to hire in all departments as we scale.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, you'll help develop and scale core components of our platform. Your work will support the automation of complex processes, the launch of new product offerings, and the growth of our infrastructure. This is an important role, as your contributions will directly enable technology that is powering billions in investments and driving meaningful impact for our clients. You'll collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product managers, and other team members to deliver solutions that make a difference in our clients' investment processes.
Eligibility: You currently in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field, and are graduating between December 2026 and August 2027. We anticipate start dates early 2027 & summer 2027.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Working with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build and improve application features
Contributing to both user-facing interfaces and backend services using modern frameworks and technologies
Helping develop reusable software components and APIs that connect front-end and back-end systems
Writing clean, efficient, and reliable code, and learning how to optimize for performance and scalability
Participating in code reviews and learning best practices from peers and senior engineers
Assisting in designing and implementing systems that are scalable and maintainable across the stack
Troubleshooting and fixing issues across front-end, APIs, and databases
Gaining experience working with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and databases
Taking responsibility for assigned tasks and features, developing an end-to-end understanding of how they work
Reach Out to Us If You:
Have experience building and programming, through internships, class projects, or personal work
Have strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
Have frontend or backend development experience, full-stack exposure is a plus
Have a track record of taking on projects and seeing them through, even in ambiguous or fast-moving settings
Communicate and collaborate well across both technical and non-technical people
Bonus Points If You:
Have contributed to a personal project, open-source work, or something outside a classroom that shows how you actually build
Have exposure to the kind of problems we solve here: automation, data-heavy systems, or fintech
Enjoy debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, not just building new features
