Software Engineer Ecosystem

Summary

Build and integrate software for autonomous robots and third-party systems on a global fleet-management platform, using C++, Python, ROS, and real-time protocols.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Software Engineer on the Ecosystem team, you will join the team responsible for the software running on hundreds of robots operating 24/7 across the globe. Apart from Kabam's security robots, you’ll also work on integrating third-party robots—ranging from quadrupeds to cleaning robots—into Smart+, our unified platform for real-world operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Integrate diverse robots with real-world systems and third-party platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful technical solutions.
  • Engage in agile practices and hands-on testing with physical robots.
  • Contribute to open-source projects like OpenRMF and ROS2.
  • Support technical deployments both remotely and on-site.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiar in robotics, fleet management, or system integration.
  • Strong C++ and Python skills, with ROS experience.
  • Knowledge of REST, WebRTC, TCP/IP, and UDP.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with ROS2, OpenRMF, multi-robot coordination, or complex ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, cloud deployments, and real-time systems.
  • Familiarity with MQTT, Zenoh, CAN protocols, or facility management integration.
