The Role

Aurizn is seeking Expressions of Interest from Software Engineers at all career stages to join our growing talent community. As project opportunities continue to expand, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that support Defence and national security outcomes, working within collaborative and multidisciplinary teams across complex and meaningful programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse and translate user and customer requirements into software solutions.

  • Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality software applications using modern engineering practices.

  • Write clean, efficient and maintainable code across a range of programming languages and technology stacks.

  • Debug, troubleshoot and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • Maintain, enhance and support existing software applications and systems.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including software designs, test plans and user guides.

  • Contribute to Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, estimation and project tracking activities.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar technologies.

  • Understanding of software development methodologies, tools and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Adaptable, proactive and motivated to learn new technologies and contribute to innovative Defence-focused solutions.

Due to the security requirements of this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain a NV1 Security Clearance, or higher.
