Software Engineer

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Laravel Framework.
• Good knowledge of MySQL, including writing queries and understanding relational database concepts.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control.
• Understanding of Laravel components such as Eloquent ORM, routing, middleware, form validation, Blade templating, and Artisan CLI.
• Basic knowledge of PHPUnit or Laravel testing tools.
• Understanding of web application security concepts such as authentication, authorisation, input validation, and SQL injection prevention.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker and containerisation.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Redis or caching concepts.
• Basic understanding of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Internship or academic project experience in Laravel-based applications.
• Mandatory Skills: PHP, Laravel, MySQL, REST API development, Git, Eloquent ORM, SQL, and PHPUnit (basic).
