Software Engineer

ResponsibilitiesUnder general direction and in alignment with ASP policies and applicable regulations:
- Design, develop, and implement embedded software modules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Debug and resolve software issues across embedded platforms.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of embedded systems.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Interface with departments including Quality, Service, and R&D.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
- Apply verification techniques such as static analysis and code coverage to ensure software quality.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- BE (CS / IS), MTech (CS with specialization in IOT / Cloud / Data Analytics / AIML)
- Hands-on experience in embedded system software development. It could be through academic projects or internships for fresh UGs/PGs
- Must have had little experience in getting IoT use cases involved with REST API, MQTT, HTTP
- Must have had a course and hands-on AI/ML, Data Science
- Proficiency in C/C++ and working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
- Solid understanding of microcontrollers and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with development tools (IDEs, debuggers, version control).
- Exposure to electronics lab tools like oscilloscopes and analyzers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
Preferrable:
- Experience with Yocto Linux or similar embedded Linux platforms.
- Understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Familiarity with configuration management (Eg: GitHub)
- Prior experience in regulated environments such as medical devices.
