Software Engineer Forward Deployed AI
Summary
Forward-deployed engineer leading AI system design and enterprise deployments, translating customer needs into secure, scalable GenAI solutions and reusable patterns.
You will co-lead enterprise customer engagements by owning technical discovery, solution architecture, prototyping, implementation, production readiness, and operational handoff. You will design secure AI systems, validate workflows, launch reliable deployments, and convert solutions into reusable patterns and playbooks.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer goals into system and non-functional requirements
- Understand customer workflows, constraints, systems, data quality, and adoption blockers
- Create system context and data flow diagrams
- Develop integration plans
- Design security models
- Create evaluation plans
- Create operational plans
- Reuse existing product capabilities
- Prototype and validate workflows with end users
- Drive projects through discovery, implementation, launch, and handoff
- Ensure deployments are reliable, supportable, measurable, and adopted
- Convert deployments into reusable patterns, components, and playbooks
Requirements
- Experience shipping production software
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers
- Experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, forward deployed engineering, or pre-sales engineering
- ML and GenAI fundamentals
- Coding ability in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Go
- Ability to design secure and scalable systems
- Technical documentation skills
- Experience with APIs, integrations, data pipelines, customer systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Cloud architecture experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Distributed systems experience
- Experience building LLM systems
