Software Engineer – Gloucester or Manchester
Raytheon UK is hiring a full‑time permanent Software Engineer to join our team on the Gloucester or Manchester sites. The role involves delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas, collaborating with stakeholders and customers to deliver secure, mission-critical systems. All candidates must be willing to attain an eDV clearance.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Core Software Engineering – JavaScript frameworks (React, NextJS), TypeScript, Python, Java, REST API development, OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Cloud & Infrastructure – Cloud services (AWS or Azure), containerisation & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Data & Search Technologies – Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), Elasticsearch/Opensearch.
- Testing & Quality – Unit testing and automation, testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, Cypress).
- Delivery & Collaboration – Experience working in an Agile delivery team, use of code repositories (e.g., GitLab); familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests and merge processes.
