Summary
6-month contract role in McLean, VA (hybrid, 2-3 days onsite) building secure, cloud-based platforms for edge computing and mission-focused applications. Day to day: backend microservices and REST APIs in Go (also Java/Node.js/C#), SQL/NoSQL data work, CI/CD, and secure development on AWS/Azure/GCP.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering team focused on building scalable, secure, cloud-based software platforms supporting Physical AI, Edge Computing, Trusted Environments, and mission-focused applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance software applications.
• Build secure backend services and microservices using Go, Java, Node.js, or C#.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Implement monitoring, telemetry, alerting, testing, and fault-tolerant capabilities.
• Apply authentication, authorization, security, and compliance best practices.
• Leverage Generative AI tools to accelerate development, automate coding tasks, and support code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and technical teams to deliver solutions from concept through production.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of hands-on Go/Golang experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Go, Java, Node.js, or C#.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 3+ years of experience with microservices, distributed systems, or serverless architectures.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD, authentication, authorization, and secure development.
• Experience using Generative AI tools for software development.
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience.
