My client, a fast-growing technology joint venture between a global management consulting leader and a global alternative investment fund manager, is hiring multiple exceptional Software Developers to join their technology team, building bespoke systems across banking, financial services, private capital and defence.
Salaries range from £80,000 to £180,000+ - markedly above the standard Newcastle rate - with rapid growth behind fast-tracked progression.
Newcastle upon Tyne, office-based, with some UK travel. Already in the North East, or ready to relocate? Either way, you get a genuinely exceptional salary against Newcastle's cost of living - city-centre culture, a short commute, coastline and countryside on your doorstep.

What you'll be doing:
- Engaging directly with clients, stakeholders and subject matter experts to define requirements and design pragmatic, effective solutions
- Taking early ownership of end-to-end software delivery
- Partnering with client teams and challenging existing systems and processes to drive technical excellence
- Building genuine domain expertise in Capital Markets and financial services as you go
Who we're looking for:
- An outstanding academic track record - this client hires on raw academic power first
- Strong, hands‑on skills in Java, C#/.NET, Rust or Python
- A genuinely entrepreneurial streak - you take ownership, run towards problems, and don't wait to be told what to do
- An appetite to build commercial and market knowledge, not just technical skill
- Sharp communication - equally comfortable in front of a client or pairing with a teammate
- Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Fintech or Financial Services experience is a strong plus, but not required
