Summary
Software engineer at a fast-growing Hong Kong fintech company, building and maintaining full-stack web applications: Java backends with React/JavaScript/TypeScript frontends, database and API integrations, across the full development life cycle. Cloud-native exposure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. HK$35k–40k per month.

Your new role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications used by internal and external users.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
- Build and enhance front-end interfaces and back-end services to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with product, business, and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Explore new technologies and best practices to improve development efficiency and product quality.
What you'll need to succeed
- Around 3 years of software development experience, either commercially or through substantial personal/open-source projects.
- Strong programming skills in Java and experience with modern backend frameworks.
- Exposure to front-end development using technologies such as React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Understanding of databases, API development, and application integration.
- Exposure to tools and technologies such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Node.js, or Azure DevOps would be beneficial.
- Passion for technology and a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Good communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
