Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to support the strategy, operations and continuous improvement of innovation sandbox environments used for rapid experimentation, prototyping and validation of emerging technologies.

The role will be responsible for managing sandbox platforms, governance, user onboarding, access controls, compliance and operational performance, while also developing reusable technology enablers, self-service capabilities and shared services that help project teams experiment and innovate more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation Sandbox Strategy & Operations

  • Design, establish and operate innovation sandbox environments for rapid experimentation and technology validation.
  • Develop sandbox governance models, onboarding frameworks, operating procedures and evaluation mechanisms.
  • Manage day-to-day sandbox operations including user onboarding, access controls, compliance, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor sandbox utilisation and work closely with project teams to investigate anomalies, optimise resource usage and resolve operational issues.
  • Continuously improve sandbox capabilities based on user feedback and evolving innovation requirements.
  • Ensure sandbox platforms comply with cybersecurity, governance, privacy and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Review resource consumption and billing records, investigate discrepancies and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate chargeback.
  • Support operational reporting, administration and governance activities for innovation platforms and programmes.

Innovation Enablement & Capability Building

  • Develop reusable innovation frameworks, playbooks, best practices and reference architectures.
  • Build and manage self-service platforms, development toolkits, APIs, cloud environments and shared technology services.
  • Develop technology enablers that support faster experimentation, prototyping and solution development.
  • Provide technical advisory support to project teams and innovators on platform capabilities, governance requirements and adoption pathways.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for platform enhancements and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience developing, implementing or maintaining IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience administering cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Experience in software development with understanding of programming concepts, APIs, system integration and software testing.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation, containers and DevOps practices.
  • Good understanding of Identity & Access Management, cybersecurity principles and IT governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Able to work effectively in agile, fast-paced and changing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, governance and compliance.
  • Proactive, self-driven and team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Cloud certifications such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, or IT service-management certifications, would be advantageous.
