Software Engineer

hlpy is seeking a Software Engineer (Python) to join our backend team and help design, build, and scale high-performance software solutions. You will mentor junior developers while staying hands-on in coding, shaping the technical direction, and collaborating with product managers and tech leads.

The role offers full remote work with a salary range of €40,000–€50,000 gross per year. We value strong problem solving, maintainable code, and ownership across distributed teams, with 4+ years of

Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications and APIs. Implement unit, integration, and performance tests for reliability. Optimize code and systems for performance and scalability. Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards. Collaborate with PMs, Tech Leads, and engineers to translate requirements into solutions. 4+ years of backend Python experience. Strong knowledge of Python 3 and frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask). Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices. Relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiar with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of AWS cloud. Git and collaborative workflows. Testing with PyTest or Unittest.
