About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for our internal tech-products and client-facing platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient applications. You will participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Development & System Implementation
1.1 Design, develop, test and maintain software applications, APIs and system components for proprietary software products, SaaS platforms and client technology solutions.
1.2 Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
1.3 Develop reusable and scalable backend and frontend components to support current and future software products.
2. Product Development & Platform Enhancement
2.1 Participate in the development and continuous enhancement of the Company's AI-powered career technology platform, business management systems and other proprietary digital products.
2.2 Implement new platform features, improve existing functionality and contribute to overall product evolution based on business priorities and user feedback.
2.3 Collaborate with management to evaluate technical feasibility and recommend appropriate implementation approaches for new product initiatives.
3. Technical Architecture & System Design
3.1 Contribute to software architecture, database design, API development and system integration to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
3.2 Recommend suitable technologies, frameworks and development methodologies that align with business objectives and software engineering best practices.
4. AI Integration & Automation
4.1 Develop and integrate AI-powered features into software products, including intelligent content generation, workflow automation and business process optimisation.
4.2 Evaluate emerging AI technologies and APIs, and implement appropriate solutions that improve product capability, operational efficiency and user experience.
5. Code Quality, Testing & System Reliability
5.1 Produce clean, maintainable and well-documented code that meets company quality standards and software engineering best practices.
5.2 Conduct unit testing, debugging and performance optimisation to ensure software reliability, stability and security.
5.3 Analyse and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
6. Database, Security & Performance
6.1 Design, maintain and optimise relational databases and application data structures to support software performance and scalability.
6.2 Implement appropriate security controls, authentication mechanisms and data protection measures across software applications.
6.3 Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to maximise reliability and operational efficiency.
7. Collaboration & Technical Support
7.1 Work closely with directors, business analysts, designers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
7.2 Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and knowledge sharing to support continuous improvement across development projects.
7.3 Provide technical assistance during software deployment, product releases and post-implementation support where required.
8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
8.1 Keep up to date with emerging software development practices, cloud technologies, AI capabilities and industry trends.
8.2 Identify opportunities to improve development processes, software architecture and product functionality through continuous innovation.
8.3 Contribute to the long-term evolution of the Company's proprietary software products and digital platforms.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
2. If the above qualification is not met, a minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience as a Software Engineer is required, with a strong track record of successful software development projects.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
4. Experience with web application development frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, or ASP.NET.
5. Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling principles.
6. Solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
10. Familiarity with AI/ML technologies or data analytics platforms is a plus.
