Software Engineer I

As a Software Engineer – Python, React, AI/ML & Infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable, reliable, and intelligent software solutions using Python, React.js, AI/ML technologies, databases, RESTful APIs, and modern system design principles, with exposure to VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms.

You will work across the full application development lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and designing solutions to developing backend services, building intuitive frontend interfaces, integrating AI/ML capabilities, and deploying applications within enterprise infrastructure environments.

The scope of this role spans full-stack application development, AI-driven automation, API integrations, database management, and infrastructure-related solutions. You will collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to build secure, maintainable, and high-performing applications.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python and React.js.
• Build robust backend services, automation solutions, and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop responsive, reusable, and interactive frontend components using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Implement and integrate AI/ML capabilities into applications, including predictive models, intelligent automation, and AI-powered workflows.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design schemas, develop queries, manage application data, and optimize database performance.
• Develop and integrate APIs for seamless communication between frontend applications, backend services, databases, and external systems.
• Work with VMware and/or Nutanix virtualization environments to support application integration, infrastructure automation, and operational workflows.
• Apply fundamental system design principles to build modular, scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and architecture teams to support application deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, unit testing, and continuous improvement of software development practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation, API specifications, and application design discussions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and reliability.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

• Foundational understanding of machine learning algorithms, data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation.
• Experience with Python-based AI/ML libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Exposure to integrating trained ML models or AI services into backend applications.
• Understanding of AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent application workflows.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI API integrations is desirable.

Infrastructure and Virtualization

• Understanding of virtualization concepts, virtual machines, hypervisors, and virtual infrastructure management.
• Exposure to VMware and/or Nutanix environments, including application deployment and infrastructure integration.
• Familiarity with infrastructure management APIs such as VMware vCenter APIs or Nutanix Prism APIs.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting using Python.
• Awareness of enterprise infrastructure security, availability, and performance considerations.

AI-Assisted Development

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools for development, testing, debugging, and code optimization.
• Ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining software engineering best practices.
• Interest in exploring AI-driven development workflows and automation opportunities.

• 1-2 years of professional software development experience, preferably in full-stack or backend application development.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python and practical knowledge of frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience developing web applications using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Good understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, with exposure to implementing or integrating machine learning models and AI-powered services.
• Experience working with relational databases, SQL queries, database design, and application-level database integrations.
• Understanding of VMware and/or Nutanix virtualization technologies and their role in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of fundamental system design concepts, including modular architecture, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience developing, consuming, testing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software development best practices.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, unit testing, and collaborative development workflows.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot application and integration issues.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and contribute to technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI-powered automation.
• Experience with VMware vCenter, Nutanix Prism, or infrastructure automation through APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven applications.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale or regulated technology environments.
