What You Will Do

  • Participate in technical decisions and development of software solutions that align with the highest standards in quality while maintaining various product line portfolio and customer contracts.
  • Develop SW and SW test solutions to meet customer and product line needs.
  • Demonstrate time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multi-task, and coordinate work.
  • Assist in crafting operational plans and developing phased execution strategies to optimize daily workflows and scale production.
  • Collaborate effectively within a geographically dispersed team across various time zones and cultural backgrounds to drive unified project goals.
  • Advance key department initiatives by building interactive prototypes and demonstrations that showcase new concepts and capabilities.
  • Learn management of the relationship between cost and value.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Ability to achieve a DoD Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience using C/C++, Ada, HTML, Javascript and/or Python.
  • Experience programming in Windows and Unix/Linux based development environment.
  • Experience in software integration, testing, and debugging source code.
  • AGILE development experience.
  • Knowledge of Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: DO-178B/C.
  • Knowledge of Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
  • Experience with aircraft level system integration.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, and/or SVN for configuration management and workflow management.
  • Familiarity with Docker Desktop and/or containerization.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
