About the role/company:

Our client is an emerging healthcare technology company focused on accelerating clinical research through the use of AI and innovative software solutions. The organisation is developing solutions designed to dramatically reduce the time required to achieve clinical trial endpoints. We are seeking a Software Engineer to work closely with the founder and engineering leadership team to transform AI-generated prototypes into robust web-based applications. This opportunity would suit an early-career engineer, recent graduate, or junior developer who is excited by startup environments, independent work, and the opportunity to build products from the ground up.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web-based software applications

  • Convert existing Python-based prototypes into scalable production solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user requirements and product objectives

  • Design and implement new features and functionality across multiple projects

  • Integrate software solutions with existing healthcare technology platforms

  • Participate in testing, debugging, and performance optimisation activities

  • Create clear technical documentation and development standards

  • Contribute to technical decision-making as the engineering team expands

  • Work independently while collaborating remotely with international teams

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent

  • Experience developing web-based applications

  • Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Python or willingness to work with Python-based solutions

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote environment

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Highly organised with strong documentation and reporting skills

  • Exposure to healthcare, clinical research, health technology, or regulated environments is beneficial
