Summary
The Software Engineer will develop and maintain features for EdTech applications, including building REST APIs, managing databases, and ensuring code quality through testing. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to support student and educator tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features for our EdTech applications and backend services.
- Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
- Work on features related to: Student and user management Courses and learning content Assessments, quizzes, and assignments Student progress and performance tracking Teacher and educator tools Notifications and communication Learning resources and content management Reports and dashboards Third-party integrations
- Write unit tests and participate in integration and automated testing.
- Debug application issues and troubleshoot production or development problems.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Work with databases to store and retrieve application and learning-related data.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Design, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to technical documentation and continuously improve development processes.
- Learn new technologies and contribute to improving the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform.
