Founding Engineer (AWS / Serverless / AI Systems)
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our cloud-native AI platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end — from backend architecture and APIs to cloud infrastructure and production reliability.
You’ll work closely with founders to design, build, and operate highly scalable systems on AWS, with a focus on serverless architecture, distributed workflows, and AI-powered applications.
What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable fullstack applications in Python/Java/React Own cloud-native architecture on AWS with a strong focus on serverless systems Develop and manage workflows using AWS Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway, and event-driven services Work with data storage systems such as Amazon Aurora and DynamoDB, choosing the right persistence models for scale and performance Build secure, production-grade integrations with AWS services and external APIs Work on AI/LLM-powered application components using Amazon Bedrock Contribute to frontend features and product experiences using React Improve system reliability, monitoring, performance, and cost optimization Collaborate on architecture decisions, debugging, and production incident resolution
What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of software engineering experience building production applications Strong experience in the AWS ecosystem, especially: AWS Lambda API Gateway AWS Step Functions Amazon Aurora DynamoDB Serverless architectures 2-4 years in Full Stack Development involving Python/Java/React Working knowledge of frontend development using React Familiarity with event-driven and distributed systems Experience with CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, and debugging in production Understanding of security, scalability, and cost-efficient cloud design
Nice to Have: Experience with Amazon Bedrock or LLM/GenAI application development Experience with prompt orchestration, AI agents, or workflow automation Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation / CDK / Terraform) Experience in startup environments where engineers own systems end-to-end
