Software Engineer II

Summary

Build full-stack apps and services using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Java with REST APIs, databases, and cloud deployments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications and services.
  • Build modern user interfaces, APIs, and database components.
  • You will need to write clean, secure, maintainable code and contribute to engineering quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, testing, debugging, and documentation activities.
  • You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, and Consulting teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • You will leverage modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience, including full stack application development.
  • Experience with:
    • JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
    • Front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
    • Java backend development
    • RESTful API development
    • ORM technologies such as Hibernate or JPA
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and test automation.
  • Experience with source control and development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with a non-relational / noSQL database such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
  • Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
