- Develop and integrate initialization sequences and low-level software for Universal Flash Storage (UFS) across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Write and tune code across the Linux kernel and bootloaders to manage complex SoC interactions—including hardware clocks and power domains—ensuring high storage performance, power efficiency, and stability.
- Demonstrate AI fluency as an expectation in this role, and be prepared to discuss your knowledge and use of AI tools during the hiring process.
- Investigate, triage, and fix low-level firmware interactions, power state regressions, and latency bottlenecks at the hardware-software boundary.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience developing, integrating, and maintaining low-level software, such as Linux kernel drivers, bootloaders, or bare-metal firmware in C or C++.
- Experience with storage subsystems (such as UFS or eMMC) or related I/O interfaces on mobile or embedded platforms.
- Experience debugging basic hardware/software interactions and system-level issues using hardware-level debuggers or lab tools.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments to integrate, test, and validate low-level system software on custom hardware.
