Primary Purpose

Mobile Engineer translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed technology solutions. Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of consumer and back-office systems. They interface with product owners as well as other engineers and stakeholders to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet business and technical requirements. Solutions utilize a variety of hardware and software technologies and may include new code construction, modifications to existing modules, and/or package implementation. They help to move the business forward by providing better and updated services in terms of the development of software and techniques.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Proven work on a mobile (Android focused) team setting
  • Contributed to a mobile application release on the market
  • Advanced knowledge of Open-source tools and technologies (eg Terraform, Consul, Envoy, Kafka, DataDog, Vault, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kotlin)
  • Proficient in "Infrastructure as Code" concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. in Computer Science or related field
