Software Engineer III, Search Ads, Quality and AI
In this role, with your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.
- Own projects end-to-end from initial idea to design, analysis, and implementation.
- Perform model training, evaluation, and deployment to solve business-critical problems.This includes exploration of new model architectures, augmenting existing training data, finding better evaluation methods and feedback signals, and identifying headroom opportunities.
- Understand production systems, visualize, monitor, and optimize performance.
- Stay up-to-date with latest tools and research in the field working actively with our collaborators.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with software development in C++ and Python or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with machine learning tools and algorithms, specifically deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and deep learning models.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Generative AI.
