What you'll do

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the AlertMedia platform, including its core functionalities and architecture, to effectively test and validate features.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks to identify regressions early and reduce manual testing efforts.
  • Conduct manual testing, including exploratory, functional, and regression testing, on web applications to ensure user experience and system stability.
  • Perform API testing to verify the correctness, security, and performance of backend services and integrations.
  • Execute integration testing to ensure different system components work seamlessly together.
  • Conduct performance testing to assess system scalability and responsiveness under various load conditions.
  • Detect, document, and prioritize software defects, managing them through to resolution in collaboration with development teams.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools such as Codex, Claude, or Cursor to optimize testing workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall testing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test plans and automation scripts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, automation practices, and testing tools within the organization.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in testing and automation to elevate team capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality automation scripts and test cases.
  • Support the integration of testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid deployment cycles.
  • Stay updated on emerging testing methodologies, automation tools, and AI advancements relevant to QA.
  • Assist in defining quality metrics and reporting on testing progress and defect status to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in QA, SDET, or software testing roles, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality testing solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar, used for automation scripting.
  • Strong understanding of API testing, including RESTful services, and experience with API testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and how to test their components effectively.
  • Experience designing scalable automation frameworks for web applications using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Gherkin.
  • Hands‑on experience with UI automation testing, particularly using Python or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with integrating testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git or Jenkins.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases for data validation and testing purposes.
  • Knowledge of load and performance testing techniques and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience mentoring team members or leading QA initiatives is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITAR compliance is advantageous, especially for testing sensitive or regulated data.
