In a world where you can be anything, Be Infoblox.
Software EngineerWe have an opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Bangalore, reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will design, build, and optimize core services and data platforms that power Infoblox’s next-generation cybersecurity and networking products. Collaborating closely with Distinguished Engineers, Architects, QA, Product Security, and Customer Escalation teams, you will deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that help customers stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated threats in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do- Design, develop, and debug backend services and data processing modules using languages such as Golang and Scala/Spark
- Build scalable, resilient microservices and data pipelines that process high-volume security telemetry and threat intelligence in real time
- Apply software engineering best practices across code quality, automated testing, observability, and CI/CD
- Create clear design documents, sequence diagrams, and technical specifications for new features and platform enhancements
- Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests, partnering with QA to ensure end-to-end quality
- Collaborate with product architects, senior engineers, Product Security, and Customer Escalation to resolve complex technical and production issues
- Use AI-powered engineering tools (AI code assistants, test generators, log analysis copilots) to accelerate development, improve test coverage, and speed up root-cause analysis
- Optimize data models, queries, and caching strategies to improve performance and reduce latency across large-scale distributed systems
- Contribute to design and code reviews, championing secure coding and privacy-by-design principles
- Partner with Product Management, SRE, and Operations to support reliable deployments, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience building backend or data-intensive systems, ideally in security, networking, or large-scale SaaS
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Golang AND Python, with solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design
- Practical knowledge of REST and/or gRPC services, API design, and microservices architectures
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), caching (Redis), and messaging/streaming technologies (Kafka)
- Curiosity and openness to using AI tools for productivity (code completion, test generation, documentation support) while maintaining engineering judgment and code quality
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, with the ability to reason about complex systems and tradeoffs
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across time zones and functions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
First 90 Days:
-
Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.
Six Months:
- Understand key functionalities, architecture, and data flows of the core platform and services
- Own one or more services or modules end-to-end, delivering enhancements and fixes from design through deployment and monitoring
- Contribute to incident response and root-cause analysis, using observability and AI-based diagnostics to reduce mean time to resolution
One Year:
- Serve as a go-to engineer for specific areas of the platform, providing technical leadership on design, implementation, and performance improvements
- Drive key initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of services and data pipelines
- Champion the use of AI-assisted development and testing within the team, sharing best practices that unlock measurable gains in velocity and quality
- Mentor early-in-career engineers and contribute to cross-team collaborations that advance Infoblox’s product strategies
Our culture thrives on inclusion, rewarding the bold ideas, curiosity, and creativity that move us forward. In a community where every voice counts, continuous learning is the norm. So, whether you code, create, sell, or care for customers, you’ll grow and belong here.
Be Rewarded — Benefits That Help You Grow, Thrive, Belong- Comprehensive health coverage, generous PTO, and flexible work options
