Summary
Backend software engineer (3-5 years) building Java/J2EE web and client-server applications day to day — design, development, testing, and deployment of Spring Boot microservices with Kafka event-driven messaging, multiple databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB), and Kubernetes-based monitoring, working in Agile/Scrum teams. Based in Bangalore, on-site.
- 3 to 5 years of IT professional experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment of web-based and client-server applications, covering all aspects of Java/J2EE applications.
- Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Concepts, Collection Framework, Exception Handling, and Design Patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Core and Advanced Java, and Java 8/11/17 features.
- Experience developing interactive web applications using Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA (Hibernate), Spring IOC, Spring MVC, Spring Security, RESTful Services, Design Patterns, and Microservices.
- Hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture, including inter-service communication using Spring Web Client.
- Strong work experience developing both Monolithic and Microservices-based applications.
- Implemented event-driven, asynchronous communication between microservices using Apache Kafka, monitored using Offset Explorer.
- Experience in database design and development using PostgreSQL, with support for multi-database transactional systems; extensive experience with Oracle 10g, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Proficient in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality and reduce production defects.
- Hands-on experience in API testing and documentation using Postman and OpenAPI (Swagger).
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git and GitLab, and agile tools such as Jira, for software development processes and models.
- Experience in application log monitoring and root cause analysis in Kubernetes-based environments.
- Experienced in preparing Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, Program Increment (PI) content notes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Good understanding of design patterns including Strategy, Singleton, Factory, and Builder.
