Software Engineer (Insurance)
Summary
Build, test, and maintain insurance-related software modules in Java, C#, .NET, or Python, then support production deployments and troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Develop, test, and maintain system modules based on approved designs
- Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment
- Document source code, processes, and system changes
- Provide production support and troubleshoot application or system issues
- Monitor system alerts and recommend temporary or permanent fixes
- Follow escalation procedures and meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Submit status, incident, and performance reports on time
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 2–4 years of experience in software development or application support
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, .NET, Python)
- Experience with databases and basic system or application integration
- Familiarity with SDLC, testing, deployment, and production support
- Knowledge of incident management, troubleshooting, and SLA-based support
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams
- Amenable to work in Makati City
