What you'll do:

As a Software Engineer, you will work across both legacy system support and the development of a modern platform rebuild. You will play a key role in ensuring business-critical systems remain stable while contributing to the future of the company's technology.

You will investigate and resolve issues, build new features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with both legacy codebases and modern frameworks, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and clean, maintainable code.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Legacy CRM Maintenance & Support

• Investigate and resolve bugs, data issues, and production incidents across the existing CRM.
• Deliver enhancements and small feature requests in the legacy CodeIgniter/PHP codebase.
• Write and optimise MySQL queries while protecting data integrity and performance.
• Maintain integrations with third-party services (HubSpot, Microsoft Graph, AWS, Stripe, DocuSign).

New CRM Development

• Build and maintain modules and features for the Laravel-based CRM rebuild.
• Design, implement and document RESTful APIs and integrations.
• Create and maintain database migrations, seeders, models and application logic.
• Implement responsive frontend components using the project's current JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and raise risks or alternative approaches early.

UI/UX, Product Thinking & Continuous Improvement

• Consider the user's goals and workflow when implementing screens and features.
• Suggest practical improvements to navigation, layout, forms, data presentation, accessibility, consistency and usability.
• Help translate business requirements into clear user flows and implementation options; use sketches, wireframes orprototypes where helpful.
• Balance visual polish and usability with technical constraints, delivery priorities and existing functionality.

AI-Assisted Development & Engineering Quality

• Support deployment processes and Docker-based development environments.
• Verify AI-generated suggestions rather than accepting them blindly; understand the code being submitted and test itappropriately.
• Do not expose credentials, confidential business data or production information to unapproved AI tools.
  
• Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, document important decisions and contribute to shared engineering standards.

Systems, Infrastructure & Collaboration

• Support Docker-based development environments, deployment processes and CI/CD practices.
• Follow secure coding, access control, data handling and operational best practices.
• Communicate progress, blockers, estimates and recommendations clearly and early.
  
• Collaborate constructively with the development team, business stakeholders and Australian colleagues; clarify requirements rather than making risky assumptions.

Successful candidates must have:

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience, with strong PHP experience.
• Hands-on Laravel experience (or a comparable modern PHP framework), including REST/JSON APIs, validation, authentication and application logic.
• Solid MySQL or relational database skills, including query writing, schema design, joins, indexing and performance tuning.
• Good JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+); experience with a frontend framework or library such as React or Vue is highly regarded. Familiarity with jQuery and legacy frontend code is useful.
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive layouts and a CSS framework.
• Experience with Git and team-based version control; Bitbucket is preferred.
• Understanding of MVC, object-oriented programming, API integration, testing and maintainable software design.
• Experience with Docker, AWS, Linux or CI/CD is an advantage.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools (for example Cursor, Claude Code or OpenAI Codex), or clear evidence of actively learning and experimenting with AI-enabled software development. Candidates should explain how they verify output and manage risks.
• Evidence of UI/UX awareness, creative problem-solving or improving an existing product/interface. A formal designqualification is not required; a portfolio, before-and-after example, prototype or clear explanation of improvements iswelcome.

Work Arrangements:

• Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Philippine Time)
• Work Setup: On-site - Be part of a collaborative and energetic team in a professional office environment.
• Location: Parkway Corporate Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
